Simple is best, avoid logos on clothing, this may run the risk of dating your photos. Dress like yourself… We are in the process of capturing your life and if your dress your tomboy daughter in a frilly skirt and sparkly shoes, not only will she be uncomfortable, and that will show in the photos, but when you look back at your photos in 10 years you won’t really see who she was at that point of her life! I often tell clients to pick the kids outfits first and draw from the colours in their outfits when choosing for the older siblings and adults… {PLEASE don’t ALL show up in khakis and white t-shirts, unless of that is REALLY what everyone wears on a daily basis}
Newborns
NUDE is best!!
fun hats… {don’t have a hat but want one made for you? I work with local artists and they would LOVE to make you something unique, so just ask!}
A simple onesy if you have a favorite.
For mom, a simple black or white tank, short-sleeved shirt or tube top is perfect.
For dad, a black or white shirt. For those dads that are comfortable bearing their chest please do because these can make for some of the most precious images with father and child.
For older siblings, dress them as they usually look, avoiding crazy patterns.
